Liceulice vendor Mara: “My wish for everyone, not just 25-year-olds, is to behave nicely, fight every day and enjoy their lives”

INSP has been asking vendors from across the street paper network to write letters to their 25-year-old self to mark the end of INSP’s 25th anniversary year. Two Liceulice vendors, Mara (63) and Bojan (42), write about the importance of family and hard work.

Mara Miletić

At 25 I got married and my daughter Tijana was born. As soon as I saw my daughter’s face I knew life was beautiful. I loved spending time with her, singing her songs, playing together with her and taking care of her hygiene. I also bought her one nice doll.

My wish for everyone, not just 25-year-olds, is to behave nicely, to try their best to work, to fight every day and to enjoy their lives.

Bojan Vulović

When I was 25 I was maybe a bit more hardworking, resourceful and also a bit cleverer than I am now. But, my music taste has stayed the same – I still adore classical music.

My advice to all young people is: brains over brawn. Invest in your mind when the time is right so you have less regrets later.
