The 2017 Global Street Paper Summit has drawn to a close in Manchester, and delegates are returning to their home countries motivated by three days of keynotes, panel discussions, break-out sessions and Mancunian entertainment.
98.2% of delegates felt they’ve been inspired by the summit, and 96.4% felt they’ve gained new ideas.
“It was a summit which widened your horizons, inspired you, and gave you answers to questions you had,” said Erik Kapsdorfer of Slovakian street paper Nota Bene.
98% of delegates would recommend a future summit to their colleagues and other street papers.
Nikoleta Kosovac, Program Co-ordinator of Serbian street paper Liceulice, said the summit was a “great way to be inspired with new approaches, models and concept of working in the street paper field”.
Delegates were able to come together and learn from others in the network, and 98.2% felt the summit allowed them to make useful new contacts.
“The summit was educational, with fresh ideas and lovely people,” said Brynjar Bergh, of Sorgenfri in Norway. “It’s good to get out of the bubble.”
