November is drawing to a close, and the INSP Advent Calendar has been dusted off and ready to go for December. We’ll be revealing all later today, and look out for Door 1 opening on Sunday!
Until then, join us for a look back at the street paper covers on sale during the past few weeks…
Cover Highlights:
A slew of famous faces found their way to street paper front pages this month. The Big Issue (UK) had an exclusive interview with composer Lin-Manuel Miranda on their cover in October, which was republished by Street Roots and StreetWise in November thanks to our News Service. Megaphone sat down with musician Bryan Adams to discuss homelessness. And The Big Issue Taiwan‘s cover star was actress Keira Knightley.
Street Sheet celebrated 30 years in publication, with a beautiful cover illustration. You can read our coverage of their milestone anniversary here. The Big Issue (Australia) reached their 600th edition and introduced a redesign to mark the occasion, with rock band Cold Chisel on the cover. And Scarp de’ tenis helped us to celebrate our 25th anniversary with an international special featuring a vendor from The Big Issue (UK) on the cover, and an abundance of News Service content inside.
We’ve also seen some music-related covers this month. FiftyFifty led with an interview with punk musician Vom Ritchie. Augustin‘s cover star was Jewish musician Isabel Frey. And Asphalt secured an exclusive chat with Patricia Kelly on the latest tour of music group The Kelly Family.
Look back on our covers series here, and keep an eye out for the next round-up coming soon.
